Danny began his professional career at Leeds in 2006, having progressed through the club's youth ranks, but left for Tottenham a year later. Following various loans, Danny soon established himself as a Spurs favourite.
He made his Premier League eague debut against north London rivals Arsenal and made an instant impact in scoring with a stunning long-range strike that won him Goal of the Season. He was soon a key first-team player at Tottenham and represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.

As the first choice left-back at White Hart Lane for six seasons, he started in the 2019 Champions League Final. By this time he was a regular for a club and country where he went on to win 29 England caps. Danny appeared in two major tournaments - the 2016 European Championships and the 2018 World Cup.
